What is an active voltage conditioner? The Active Voltage Conditioner (AVCRTS) is an inverter based system that provides voltage sag and blackout protection. The AVCRTS is a flexible device that can be used in multiple applications. The AVCRTS can be configured with and without on-line voltage regulation capabilities to match the application requirements. It is available for low voltage equipment. The AVCRTS will provide outage protection with customer choice of storage, while operating in an off-line mode. The outage protection time can be extended up to 15 minutes as an option. The voltage transfer threshold of the equipment is user programmable and can be adjusted to the sensitivity of the load. When combined with the optional regulation module (AVC2), the AVCRTS can be used for continuous voltage regulation, voltage balancing, flicker reduction and sag mitigation or peak shaving, wind farm storage, pulse power and voltage sag protection.
